Default Gatorgrl's Neverending Story

Figured I would just start my own thread about all the work we are doing to our bird, for simplicities sake.
I was posting all this in the "What did you do to your bus lately" thread, but that thread is getting monstrous. This is just easier for me to keep track of it.
Helpful comments are always welcome.

Default The fridge is gone!

This weekend we finally got to work on our bus a little. It seems like months have passed since I was afforded this luxury.

In any event, we removed our old non-working refrigerator.

And in it's place was a true mess of water or ammonia damaged wood.

Here's the section behind the side vent, where the propane connects.

And it wouldn't be a Bluebird without it's many nests of wires!

And let's not forget a few uninvited "guests" that were found.

And the fun doesn't end there! Looks like the subfloor surrounding the fridge and in front of the water tank will have to be replaced. I honestly wish I knew who the culprit was.....the fresh water tank, the fridge or the roof fridge vent that has been missing it's cover for God knows how long.......

I now have both the side and the roof vents covered in plastic since this is our very rainy season down here in SWFL, to prevent any further damage....if that's even possible.

I plan on putting a washer/dryer combo in the space where the fridge was since the venting is already there. Would love to find a smaller fridge to fit above the washer/dryer combo.

Those fridge areas are always a mess, but yours is way bad.
You need a fein saw or the like,it will cut that floor out like butter.
Ohh,heres a fridge for you,it may fit.

Very cute Randy, but I think that one may be a tad too small. Might rattle around in the space...or maybe I could fit it in the toaster cubbie? lol
