Default need help with computer -- Apple

Hi folks,

I have quite a few dash cam videos from the Canada and Alaska trip. I would like to run them like a slide show and set it up at our coach or in the meeting area at the WOG Rally. I think it should be possible, but being computer ignorant, I have no idea how. If anyone knows how and would be willing to talk me thru the process I think it would be a neat addition to the WOG rally. Anyone out there that knows how and is willing to help?

You can contact me at:
agitator19@yahoo.com or

Kip,
What I need help with is how to make a series of 3 minute videos play continuously like a slide show plays a series of pictures.

I'm absolutely not an Apple guy, but my understanding is that the VLC media player is cross-platform and thus available for Apple products as well as the PC. It has the ability to setup a playlist, which it will do what you are looking for.

Download VLC here: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

Then Google "VLC Playlist Mac" for various instructions on how to do that, assuming you can't figure it out from the interface - it isn't the most intuitive, at least on the PC.

I prefer, and use, MPC-HC, but so far as I know it is PC only.

Thanks Don, I will try it. If I can make that work, we will see about using the projector.

I would throw in that if you have any pictures or videos you want to share at the WOG rally......put them on a thumb drive and bring them. We will get them shown somehow. I have an extra windows 10 laptop...that I don't know how to work....that I can bring

The projector is just a way of getting what you have on the computer up on a big screen. In itself it won't solve the problem of running continuous files - that can only be done by software on the computer. I'm pretty sure that VLC will do the trick for you.

To get you started I don't think you even need VLC. Check this out...
