Default Car dolly wanted

I know all the arguments against a car tow dolly but I'm not sure I'm going to stay with my current toad - 2004 VW Jetta TDI - straight shift OR the GMC. If I don't, I'll have a lot of money sunk in a mounting plate and brakes for the VW. I need a good, servicable dolly that will handle the VW. Brakes required (have you ever tried to stop a GMC??) preferably electric, but would consider surge. Bring it to RATS and I'll bring cash. Thanks.

Stick,

I have a HD Master Tow I bought new about 6 years ago (?). I have the spare with mount and optional chains. It has electric brakes. Since I started towing 4 down, it only gets used by friends in need. I need to check the tire status. They may need replacing. I have not tried to sell or even priced it's value.

I hope to make it to RATS, but I have to be at Duke the same week and I'm not sure I will get back in town in time to make it down to Pine Mountain.

Let me know if you are interested.

Glenn

Stick,

You use a car dolly on your GMC and tow it behind a Bird.

Finally, a solution that makes sense. When you think about it it is the best of both worlds...no mounting plate to buy and you still pull "4 down".
