From what I have read, Amazon works you to death for decent money. You walk MILES everyday. Hopefully you are in good health and physically fit!

I looked into the seasonal Amazon thing last winter. Money wasn't bad, except they docked $40 per day for the campsite. I don't know if it was just the location I was looking at, or if they all do that. Also they were looking for couples, working 20 hours each per week. I was looking to do the 40 hours myself, but they won't do that, because that would make me a "full-time employee". We decided to pass. Just something to look into before deciding.

Walking doesn't bother us, as long as it's not out in the scorching sun like it is down here. I was more interested in peoples opinions of the 4 different areas of the country. I am more concerned with that than I am with any job.

Growing a bit frustrated with the whole workamping thing. Have had quite a few places show interest in hiring us for the winter season. Phone interviews seemed to go well, then they take one look at our online resume and we get the email stating they are declining us. I know it's not from lack of talent so I am guessing its either lack of campground specific experience or our law enforcement history. Either way, they have so far, refused my request for explanation. Totally wasn't expecting to have this kind of issue. So right now it's looking like we will be still stuck at home for the Winter season.

You dont have to work where you stay. I worked at a country club in Naples, needless to say I wasn't able to land the bus at the club....

I suppose. Financially it just makes me a nervous wreck not to that something secured (income producing) before I head out. As much as I hate it, it looks like we will be still supporting a house I hate in an area I detest because my daughter will still be in it with her menagerie of animals and I can't put her out, she just isn't ready.

Dana, do you think it might be the age of Gen X Express?

One of my friends got a job at a Amazon distribution center near here. He is fit and 15 years younger than me. He lasted 3 weeks. Told me he walked miles a shift and was on his feet non stop.
