If you system is clean, the magnetic drive rarly fails, but it can and a tap can get it going sometimes.
There are two different motors used on the March pumps, Rae and Owasso. The original burshes were designed so they would loose contact with the amature before damaging it. When they get to the end, a tap will often start the motor. Randy, I think I have pumps and brushes if you need either, you have my number.

thanks Mallie!
I think my brushes are worn out,i may go out and pull the motor. at the very least i can move the motor from the bathroom to the living room zone. the living room zone always goes bad first.

That pump may also be the "stir" pump.

Keep in mind that the check valves for those pumps can stick closed.

So,that side of the coach is in the shade so i took the motor off,one brush was stuck,a gentle nudge and it came right out.
there was some crud in the brush holder and a washed it out with elec.cleaner, put it back together and its now working fine. doing that all left handed was like a baby bear cub threading a needle with boxing gloves on! I just can't extend that right arm that far, yet. I know, its not that far in,but you have to factor the belly into the equation.

OK,a little more info
I took the 2 small bolts out,it took a 1/4'' socket and nut driver. the end cap came off, thats what holds the brushes. i did not remove the wires,so the cap was close enough for me to take the brushes out and clean the cap, which did have some black stuff in it. One brush was stuck,i could push it in but it would only come back to the starting position,i pulled it out and could see no real reason for it being stuck. But,then i decided to remove the small round black plastic caps that hold the brushes into the cap. one of the caps was quite loose,so it was not putting enough spring pressure onto the brush to push it all the way in. I put it all back together and it works just fine. I could not see into the holes in the cap where the black cap screws in,but i suspect the screw cap has to put pressure onto the brush for it to make good contact. Is that true?
