Lord, these morons that put in a wood burner and a flue up through the roof, totally have no clue. If they left this bus like it was designed it would work a whole lot better than this POS. No thermostat control and it is blazing hot or too dam cold. No way to control your comfort zone. Then eventually the leaks that will occur because of all the expansion and contraction of the metal, you might as well just cut a hole in the roof and leave in open. Idiots!!!!!!!!!!!

Another wrecked wanderlodge. These guys should start with a school bus. Better platform for wood stoves, amateur wiring, and cabinets sawed from sappy trees.

Out of the 1600 or so built, I frequently wonder how many remain alive and in factory-like condition.

I'm going to stick my neck out here - I think it's an interesting project that doesn't undo all the good Wanderlodge built into it. He's rebuilt or started rebuilding almost everything to original or better specs. That includes a turbo 3208. The wood stove is weird, but it's functional and he only had to redo that one cabinet that sits there by the door. The ceilings and wall material in these old buses is often completely f'd from water leaks and there is nothing you can buy to replicate/replace it with the same. Honestly, I've seriously considered doing something similar with my ceiling as he did. Other design choices, like the rubber tread on the floor, I wouldn't have done, but I can understand why he used it.

I can see his vision here, and it looks like he's done a lot of good work. This is the kind of person and project we should be supporting. Otherwise this old trashed FC would become a hunting shack. And his asking price seems fair to me if the engine stuff checks out.
