pulling with a pair of pliers will eventually get it out. DO NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER TO PRY AROUND THAT VERY EXPENSIVE GLASS! Ask me how I know. The cavity behind the Sugatsune flush pull was filled with silicon and the pull was pushed into place. The pull is still available. I just bought a few or five or six. You could use a little heat with a heat gun but your chancing getting the thin section of glass hot and cracking it. Here is a link to the model number and specs - https://www.sugatsune.com/product/ov...ndle-w-spring/

Jim,
We have one broken also. I haven't gotten the old one out yet but I do have the replacement when I get it out. I did find that if your door is to opening to hard you can adjust the top and bottom catches by turning them in some.

I broke one of those handles on the BMC door when I owned it. Ordered a new handle and got the old one out without breaking the glass.

I decided that silicone is not your friend in this particular case. Very carefully, drill holes and use small screws with nylock nuts and reasonably large washers to secure. The nuts go inside the handle area with the screw heads and washers on the back side of the door.

I’m pretty sure I used two screws per handle. No pictures available unless Paul Cambron reads this and will take and post some of my handiwork.

Max.

The trick to getting them out is from Rob R.
He drilled a small hole from the front, all the way through the door.
Then he drilled a larger hole from the back side of the door ,same size as a number 2 philips screwdriver.do not drill through the pull.

Then he heated the broken pull with a hair dryer, while pushing on a screwdriver against the back of the pull.
I just did the last month and it did work.

I have two new ones I believe I got them off of e-bay but I think they actually came from Coach Parts. I have not tried to put them in. Both doors have been replaced on my bus so I'm not sure they will actually fit. The pulls we currently have are just a finger catch and it's hard to get the door open.

PO (credit card mechanic) had somebody replace one using silicone. Made a mess of it - not flush and has dried silicone ooze around the edges. This thread has inspired (?) me to see if I can get the old one out and do it right. Thanks, Jim, for adding a new project to my list.

Cool

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I may still mess it up, but am now informed.
