Default Camp host(s) needed

Is anybody interested in a camp host job this summer in a State Park in SW Missouri? We're hosting here till end of May, park manager has nobody to take over from us.

Nice thing is, they're looking at month to month here, so no tying up the whole season. Also, they leave you alone to get the job done, we're the only hosts here, sometimes the only ones in the whole camp!

The park is Viney Creek State Park, really beautiful peninsula on Table Rock Lake. The park is the entire peninsula. 46 sites total, not much use, so pretty easy duty. Camp host site FHU 50A, right on the lake..I could almost hang a rod out the bedroom window...almost.

Anyhow, although I only signed up for a month, the manager has been badgering me to stay longer, & this morning, when I said definitely "no", wanted to know if I could recommend anyone else. So if you're interested call Elise, 347-852-5389. She's real busy, so leave a message, or text her, PM me if you have further questions.

A few pics of "my" park...

Thanks Randy. I'm still tied up here (working) til the end of June at the very earliest, unfortunately.
I would love to find camping hosts that will allow me to only commit to a month or two. Just don't want to commit 3-6 months at a time.

That would work great for you. July or August in the Ozarks with the lake at your door step and Branson just a pleasant drive away. You found just what your looking for.

Hey Dana,

Most of the Missouri State Parks allow Camp Hosting on a month-to-month basis. Go to www.mostateparks.com then look for VIP program (Volunteers In Parks). Email me if more ??

Badandy; Tmobile doesn't work here, but the Mobley (AT&T) does so I have internet. Last year's camp host used Tracphone, don't know who they piggyback off of; I know because they left a prepaid here. It's out of minutes, but shows a strong signal.

Does sound perfect!
Just have a few more loose ends to take care of around here before we are ready to hit the road to nowhere. Still waiting to retire my career next month.
Still need to finish packing up the house. Still need to finish rebuilding my toad. and we still need to spend a few weeks on the Long Island so we can help his dad with some unfinished home projects. Have already told the Fl state parks we are not available til Sept. and will need 2 weeks off in Oct for WOG.
I know it's terribly late in the season to start work camping but I have to make sure my daughter is covered under her fathers health care before I retire or she will get hit with that Obamacare junk....otherwise I would have retired in Feb.2019. Will register with Missouri's parks to get on their mailing list.
Thanks for the tip and thought.
