Default Driving/Fog Lights

Hello all,

I had some issues with the front bumper and while being fixed I decided to upgrade the original driving lights to LED bars. I do not have Fog lights on this bus .

The way Bluebird wired them, they only work when the High beams are on.

I installed LED light bars that double as Fog lights and it would be beneficial to be able to turn them on with Low Beams when properly aimed.

Does anyone happen to know where the relay for Driving lights is located on a 91 ? I need to change the relay signal feed and allow power to driving lights with low beams instead of High only. I have nothing in the BB folder about driving lights.

Thanks

Marius

Under the panel below the windshield would be my guess.

I did a similar install but just ended up running new wires, switch and relay much quicker. I used a lighted switch.

I did this mod on my LX and love the result but I can't tell you where the driving light relay is located on your bus.
I had a big LED light bar on my Kodiak and I will say, it generated TONS of RF noise. So much that it was impossible to listen to the radio with the lights on!

Will have to test the RF noise issue I guess before I spend a lot of time on this.
May have to run new harness and relay anyway..... None of the relays under the windshield are for driving lights....nothing above the driver nor under the dash....

If you have factory driving lights you have relays. Do you by chance have a double layer of electrical components outside under the windshield? I had an SP so equipped. There were two screws on the curb side of the 1st board. Remove the screws and swing the 1st board to uncover the 2nd board. Might take a look.
