I was riding my Harley today enjoying the 75 degree weather and rode past this BlueBird for sale. I have nothing in this. I don't even know the people. I did talk to the son of the owner. He is 27 yrs. old and said that he thought they had purchased it about 10 yrs. ago. He isn't positive about the year and I suggested maybe around 1980 and he said that sounded about right. He said that it has a 3208 Cat but not sure if it is Turbo or not or what hp rating it is. He went on to say that they bought it to go around the country to horse shows. Something the family was really in to when he was a kid. They have stopped the horse show tours and haven't used it for a couple of years and they realize that it needs to be used or it will just deteriorate. So that is why they are selling it. He has no idea of what the price is. I took several pics. It looks better in the pics than in person. In other words the paint isn't as bright and shinny as it appears in the photos, but it is in overall good shape. There isn't any rust except on top of the front bumper as the pic shows. I couldn't go inside but looked through the windows and the inside looked to be in pretty good shape. The upholstry is clean and not torn, carpet that I could see was clean an not stained. It is a rear bedroom and one bed. Bath on driver's side then kitchen then bedroom. Two couches, one fold out. Michelen tires that appeared to be in good shape but I didn't have my glasses and couldn't read the date code.
The coach is located in Warsaw, IN just off of US 30 by the new Meijer Store being built. The phone number has a 574 area code, which wasn't on the sign. I am willing to check it out for anybody that has any interest and not from the area.

It looks to be an 82 or an 83 both had a 3208 turbo either a 225(82) or 250 depending on production dates.

1982 Bluebird Wanderlodge. If you aren't familiar with Wanderlodges, they are built with the same chasis as Bluebird school buses. Some call them the Mack Truck or 57 Chevy of the RV industry (Strong as a freight train and reliable as Grandma's Church car) It has a Cat Diesel engine plus 12K Diesel generator. It has so many ammenities they would take a book to list all of them but a short list is , Sleeps up to 8, step down shower/tub, porcelain toilet and sink , 4 burner stove, gas oven, micro/convection oven, new fridge, safe and lots of storage ! Ready to take off on a cross country road trip. The horse trailer shown in the pictures is NOT INCLUDED! It is just shown to show you what this RV can tow and not even know it's behind it !
