What are these boxes?
2000 LX - could someone tell me what these boxes in the floor behind the passengers chair are?

Mike- the copilot chair sits on a steel structure. The wooden structure behind the chair houses or conseals the step well slide. The box on the wall conseals the clippard air cylinder that actuates the slide. Ernie- use to live in Lubbock from 67-90
