John Finn's Second Birthday of the Year
37 years ago on Thanksgiving John received a transplanted kidney so every year around this time Randy likes to wish a Happy Second Birthday to our resident curmudgeon. Randy is on the road now and so I'm posting for him. Happy Birthday John. Go get some carrot cake since you're off Red Velvet.

That's a long time on a rented kidney. All the best John. I am pretty convinced that I'm having birthdays twice a year now but the facts don't support my convictions. Time just seems to fly since reaching 60 plus years.

Happy second "B" John.
Proud to have known and met you. I was a great treat to meet John at "Q" a few years back and be able to spend some time with him in his Bird. John some FYI: I have used your success to encourage a neighbor. She had a kidney transplant and was nearing the 10 year anniversary. She was concerned as she had been told the average lifespan was 10 years after the transplant. I told her not to worry there was no time clock and that you had been going for 30 plus years with a "temporary" kidney. She smiled and felt much better. She has since passed 12 years and still going. Thanks.

Keep on keeping on John. It was a pleasure meeting you this summer. I have a relative with a bad heart the doctors said should have left this world 30 some years ago - he's still carrying on.
