A few days ago I finished my exhaust repair. I had a hole in the lower elbow and I had to get rid of the stubby turn out at the top. Six inch all the way out from the turbo.

Looks good Chris. I like the looks of the turnout better, but I think you have a better "practical" design with the straight out and rain cap. I usually put a cap over my turnout when parked outside, but that requires me to remember to put it on and if I do, I have to do it. You just shut the engine off and your good to go.

Default Progress - carpet, table, plumbin, Bidet and bumper

Lots of small wins this weekend.

1. Wrapped the bedroom up with carpet on the drawers
2. Cut width of table
3. Added a Bidet to the Bluebird
4. Fixed a valve under the bathroom sink - praise to BB for using real parts allowing me to simply replace the guts!! Allowed me to do the rest of this stuff vs fight old plumbing.
5. Consideration for the bathroom floors and entry.
6. Modified the front lower bumper w hooks (I cut bigger opening for my larger hands)

Pics for proof!

Default Some Old progress

Thought I would post some old "new" progress.

1. HW heater
2. Pitman arm seal
3. Marker lights

For the HW heater, I went back with a marine grade "direct" replacement but had to do a few things.. there was a false floor that was rotted out.. so I re-created that along with a HW pan that purposefully floods to the pit.. added an expansion tank (was advised but now creates an interesting dynamic with the water pump when using HW).. Did PEX where I could.

I tried and tried to find a pitman arm seal replacement. I removed the arm with a custom-made tool because bus could only turn sharp left.. we thought pitman arm but later found the turn stop was set wrong.. Here is my HomeDepot solution for the seal.

On marker light the housing is metal dipped or chrome covered and as it wore off I was having grounding issues. I could not find a picture but metal duct tape saved the day.. I cut strips and stuck it to inside of the housing and the screws through the tape.. worked great. I had to connect it back to where the bulb inserts.. creating the grounding.

Hope these might help someone on the journey.

I did the same today, removed the old and installed the new latch that I got from Dan. Had to adjust the rods a couple of turns.

Well wish I had taken pictures but nope got to busy. This week removed all wheels and tore down for brake inspection. Found couple worn wheel bearings on tag all others good installed new ones on tag. Then all new wheel seals for all corners. New oil in hubs drained and refilled pumpkin oil. inspected greased drive line. New front tire's so sad not Michelins but Toyo. Moved the front to tag axle they were a couple years old. Buy new drives next year as a set. reinstalled drums wheels & tires adjusted brakes. Changed front HWH leveler springs left front lost both springs had no choice. Dropped the oil in Motor and generator refilled. I meant to do it last year before layup but work got crazy. Adjusted belt for charging system. Looked at leaking water inlet regulator determined it was just getting old hope to get one on order from Dan today. Wife cleaned and cleaned carpets. I think we leaver today at 6:00 pm for Moab still need to wash first time out this year. I cannot say how much this site has done for me to understand my rv. I love the you tube channel Please keep it going. This site is a treasure!!!!
