Did you by any chance buy Sean & Louise's Odyssey? Your e-bay description of your new bus sounds like the one they sold after moving full-time to the water. Can't imagine there being more than one Neoplan with a garage "in the wild"!!

Nice looking PT 38, BTW. Better than average write-up!

Thanks!

Yep, I did buy Sean and Louise's Neoplan. Good guess! It's a riot. And the only thing that'd talk me out of my Wanderlodge.

I'll be straight up, the decals gotta go for starters! Pictures are not up to par, shadows, partial shots, guys rear ends etc... The flooring looks poorly installed "Decent tires" is NG. Date codes are needed. Need to show the awnings, generator compartment to name few... For 45 large it needs to be a pristine ride 8V92 is a plus as well as being a Finlander!

Turbokitty..wow! I'm glad my kids weren't in a photo. I'd hate for them to be part of your critique.

Hahaha Randy! I gotta second Turbokitty though. I'm a prospective buyer, in the market, and these were some of my very concerns/thoughts when first reviewing the ad. Part of my attraction to the WOG, I like my longtimers straight-up and to the point. The follow on humor is a plus.

I also agree with Ryan here Randy , and do not this Ryan was insulting , as it is not like him harrrr . It is clear that we have a seller who loved his PT ,and took the time to provide a great write up , and now only needs the Pics to match .

I also had the opportunity to be in King Of Prussia Pa last year when the great race came through , and thought of the Movie the great race . Were you by chance there ? It was the valley Fordge casino

Well, I probably miscalculated by putting this in the Wanderlodge forum. I've been a car collector for a long time, and one thing I notice is that if a vehicle is modified, you'd best stay away from the marque-specific clubs because they're going to clobber you for it.

In this case, I see my PT38 as being something that is great for a race support vehicle. It has a $20,000 race-specific paint job (from the previous owner), a heavy duty hitch, new radiator, $12,000 Cummins generator, that would probably appeal to someone who tows a trailer with a car. Probably the wrong vehicle if you want to park it in Florida.

The reason I posted pics from the Great Race as well as a video from Jessi Combs's TV show that features me and the car I tow behind the bus is that I thought perhaps somebody would find that interesting for the purposes of provenance. The Great Race is perhaps the most prestigious cross-country vintage car race in the US, and the yellow brass car you see hiding behind the large, middle-age guys' butts won Best of Show last year, out of 130 participants. In the vintage racing circuit, that car and this bus are well-known, and we've been featured in Hemmings the past three years. I left the stickers on for that reason as well. They can be removed with a blowdryer.

Of course, if you are not into vintage car racing or large-displacement brass cars, then I suppose you'd find the pics of my race crew actually or potentially offensive. I tried to balance them out with Jessi's video. If that doesn't work, then perhaps my bag of tricks is empty for you.

Al, yes I was at the Great Race 2014 when it went through King of Prussia. That year, I was driving a 1932 Auburn speedster that was built for Indy in the 30s. Great car, but HOT HOT HOT in the cockpit. We drove that on the Route 66 race in 2015, but the 160 degree floorboards talked us into running the 1918 ALF this year.
