John and Kathy,
Thank you for all your hard work putting on the rally. We all had a great time and look forward to next year hopefully.

We all had a lot of fun doing unique things like decorating our SP and packing 14 people in for the Odell 4th of July Parade. In this PARADE wrapped candy is thrown for the kids to pick up. The parade route is close to the fairgrounds.. There is also the bigger 4th celebration in Hood River with a big parade. They have flyovers with antique airplanes from the WAAAM
Museum.
We will again do tours and more. There are 30 and 50 amp hookups with about 10-50 amp
in the area we are in. First come, first served with the 50's. There are over 100 30 amp services with great water hookups also. Many of the 30 amp services can be piggy backed.
We will again have the floral building for get togethers ( lots of fans if hot) And yes, there is a dump site on the grounds easy to get to. On The weekend there will be events in the bigger buildings that can be noisy until late . Be aware of that THERE ARE LOTS OF wineries, Craft Breweries and the new craze Hard Cider Breweries around close. We will also have a caravan up to Timberline Lodge for lunch ( where "The Shining " was filmed.) It is a beautiful drive up Highway 35 to the lodge. There is room for lots of rigs and no pre- registration is needed. Kathy and I will collect and pay the fees at the end. The nightly fee is $25.00. There are bathrooms and showers that will be available too.
A new idea I will try to put together is a bus course to test drivers. When I drove school bus we used the grounds for backing, parking and actual testing. It could be fun and maybe the "spouse" could try... I will get cones for courses. Maybe some prizes too! Oh, I forgot to mention. NO SALES TAX IN OREGON!
We are fellow Oregonians and were wondering if you had some updated information about the upcoming event ? Keep us posted

Default Hood River 2020

There is a new thread for Hood River 2020 posted by John 3 weeks ago.

I have been in contact with our fair board manager and it looks like we will be good to go. Our governor has pushed the "Stat at home" order thru July 6th to effectively eliminate 4th of July get together and events but we will be the only ones on the grounds and can spread out. It will certainly be different than past ones due to the 6' rule like no Van's. We can still use the Floral building and spread out in there as it is huge. I am not sure if WAAM , MT HOOD RAILROAD ,wineries and restaurants will be open but we can order out and eat on the grounds. I would think we could do the "Wanderlodge Rodeo" also and driving tours to attractions that will be open. No advice on getting here across the country but remember..........
THERE IS NO SALES TAX IN OREGON!"( if you can find something that's open or you like to wait in line outside).
The great thing about our buses is they were made for "isolating" in. Diesel is still cheap here as $1.879 (and yes, fuel tax is included.)

We are a month away so we have a tentative event schedule that may change depending on what is open:
THURSDAY July 2nd. -Appetizers/ Meet and Greet at a distance.
FRIDAY July 3rd. - Open to explore Hood River County
SATURDAY July 4th - ( No 4th celebration or Parade as per government rules)
Wanderlodge Rodeo during the day- Taco Bar for dinner
SUNDAY July 5th. Backroads ride to Wamic for the Natiional Lawn Mower Races
( If it is allowed.) Dinner open
MONDAY July 6th. - Pizza night- Bring salads and desserts (Betty's cobbler??)
TUESDAY JULY 7TH. - Jeep ride - Dinner on us
WEDNESDAY July 8TH. - Pot Luck ANYTHING!
Thursday July 9th. Leave
Remember, You do not have to reserve, just show up the days you can and pay us
$20 a night which includes 50 and 30 amp power, good water and a dump site on the grounds . ( There is only 1 dump site - the 3" pretend dump heads by our parking are for food vendors during fair.)
There are showers and bathrooms on the grounds but they may be closed .
I hate to push it but we will have to push " social distancing" which means you will have to yell at me so I can hear.
Fuel prices are up a little but still not bad.
Oh, did I mention there is NO SALES TAX IN OREGON?

You can pull in on July 1st and stay a day later than the
Rally. A reminder not
To take Ehrck Hill Rd. off Hwy 35. Go to the main turn off to Odell and follow
The Fairgrounds signs. A positive note that WAAAM has reopened so lots
Of antique cars and planes to look at!

Quick question - would our kids be welcome in their tent trailer along side our WB?

John maybe out of touch to answer this. In the past we’ve had tents next to RV’s. There is a lot of room there. A tent camper shouldn’t be a problem
