Default 365 tires on front axle

Is there a way to mount 365 tires on the front axle without rubbing the air bag?

A few years back I asked the folks at Parliament Coach if 365's would fit. They said the wheels touch the air bags. Most of those folks are now at Coach Worx.

There is someone running 365's on a 450 lxi. There is a email group of 450 owners and this has been a topic of discussion for some time. If you send me a pm I can get you in the group.

I think they switched the front wheel off of a dumptruck...heavy duty with different offset. Cant remember who it was though??

I wonder if they checked with ArvinMeritor. I once considered 365's for my LXi. I got an approval from Spicer with the insistence that the offset not change.

Dan Romero at Parliament actually tried a set with the 2nd crashed coach 450 LXi. It didn't work. Increasing the offset will allow them to physically go on.
I'm sure that Arvin Meritor would not approve the increased, offset or increased contact area for several known safety issues that are on record.

I don't know about BB but I have a friend with an 05 Prevost who had an overloaded front axle and made driving a nightmare. The converter solved the problem with 12 inch rims and 10k # rated tires. Looks like the front tires on a concrete truck and it drives like a dream.

That's right Mallie, If I'm not mistaken, I think all new Prevost bus conversion chassis come with steer axle 365/70/22.5's, and the factory does have a program to update the first generation XLII Mirages and H3-45's (1999 to 2005 model years) to 365's. The change requires new wheel studs and I think there might be some minor bodywork required on the XLII to solve a clearance issue. Folks love 'em, but the 365's are harder to find and are very, very expensive. Prevost allows running them on the tag too.
