Tom and Bill, The problem that I had in one or maybe both of them was those flange bolts which slide around the outside of the edge of the flange just would not line up with the holes in the new toilet. That arrangement should give you latitude to fit a new toilet to the old location but if I remember correctly it was like the thing was off a perfect 45 degrees. So in addition to sealing Tom also may have issues with holding the toilet in place. Seems like he will have to perhaps solve both problems. Those seals are pretty soft and I see a problem. Other possibility is to set the toilet and then cut and fit the flooring to fit against the toilet once it is in place. Not the best way and certainly not the easiest.

Looking at Bills pictures the flange in my bus did not look like that. Unless my memory fails me there was a slot around the edge of the flange allowed the hold down bolt to move around the edge of the flange. I think what I remember was typical of home applications and perhaps was not original BB stuff. But again the problem was even with the ability of rotating the bolts I couldn't get things to line up correctly.

Mine is exactly like NH Bills. I'm using the same toilet, so it should go right back it place.
What I read was that some RV manufacturers used screwed in flanges and there was enough threads that they could just unscrew the flange out enough to get the new height they needed. I didn't want to try loosening it, unless I knew for a fact that it was threaded.

Randy,

You have me mixed up with someone else. The only head I can look over is Rob's.

The china Sea Land toilet comes in short and tall models. We put in the tall boy and its a big improvement. Don't like having my knees around my chin for that activity.

Default Toilet

I'd say 190 was a few years ago. Ha!

It's been a long time since I've seen 190 as well. And probably never will again.

Best,

I'm short (case you haven't noticed) I bought one of those short toilets and ended up getting the riser for it. I have to think those short ones are for the applications like in class "B"s you stand over the thing to shower. It would be a hoot to see one of you average or taller fellows using one of those toilets. Kinda makes you think about how these 7 ft tall basketball players must go thru life. Nothing wrong with being short that I can see.
