Default Hood.River July Rally 2019

Kathie and I are planning another Rally from July 2nd thru July 8th next summer . We all had a lot of fun doing unique things like decorating our SP and packing 14 people in for the Odell 4th of July Parade. In this PARADE wrapped candy is thrown for the kids to pick up. The parade route is close to the fairgrounds.. There is also the bigger 4th celebration in Hood River with a big parade. They have flyovers with antique airplanes from the WAAAM
Museum.
We will again do tours and more. There are 30 and 50 amp hookups with about 10-50 amp
in the area we are in. First come, first served with the 50's. There are over 100 30 amp services with great water hookups also. Many of the 30 amp services can be piggy backed.
We will again have the floral building for get togethers ( lots of fans if hot) And yes, there is a dump site on the grounds easy to get to. On The weekend there will be events in the bigger buildings that can be noisy until late . Be aware of that THERE ARE LOTS OF wineries, Craft Breweries and the new craze Hard Cider Breweries around close. We will also have a caravan up to Timberline Lodge for lunch ( where "The Shining " was filmed.) It is a beautiful drive up Highway 35 to the lodge. There is room for lots of rigs and no pre- registration is needed. Kathy and I will collect and pay the fees at the end. The nightly fee is $25.00. There are bathrooms and showers that will be available too.
A new idea I will try to put together is a bus course to test drivers. When I drove school bus we used the grounds for backing, parking and actual testing. It could be fun and maybe the "spouse" could try... I will get cones for courses. Maybe some prizes too! Oh, I forgot to mention. NO SALES TAX IN OREGON!

Virginia and I are planning on attending the rally also. We look forward to seeing everyone who shows up. We have been talking about the great time that we have had at Q this week and are excited to attend more events.

Now we are full-timing, we have no schedule....EXCEPT...Hood River Rally July 2019. We've had so much fun there in the past; a smaller, more intimate rally where you can get to know everyone better. We'll be there!!

We are getting getting closer to our rally over July 4th and excited that the Evergreen Rally in Olympia ends just a week before ours so you can enjoy Ray and Leslie's Rally and then slowly make your way the 200 miles to Hood River. MARK AND GINGER, you can do it! That is just 30 miles a day!::
There are lots of beautiful places between the 2 rallies to enjoy so come and make it a 3 week event with lots of relaxing along the way!

For those coming to our Rally a heads up. CraigK ( WOG name) has run into a great deal on some 350 watt solar panels. $176 per panel! He can bring them to our rally if interested. Give him a shout . That's Craig Knipe in Happy Valley Oregon.AND THERE IS NO SALES TAX ON THEM!
