Question LED tape light on outside

I am asking anyone that has put LED tape lighting on the outside of their bus.

This may be trivial but I am wondering how you ran the tape where the zip dee awnings are concerned?

Did you run the tape under the drip edge like I intend to do?

If you did, did you run it on top of the window awnings or under them?

I ran a LED tape under the aluminum awning cover for the main awning.
It only works if I have the awning out but it did make wiring easy. When I roll the awning in it just gets rolled up inside, its flat so no big deal. I brought the wires up on the roof and down the refrigerator vent to the control panel.

Thanks guys. I may just have to open the window awning and see what my options are. I plan on running the wired into the outside door light and putting them on a switch over the banquet, where the digitel once was. I got the dimmable ones so we can use them as either ambient outside awning lighting or bright security lights.

The LED stuff is great. Good light, less juice, runs cooler...There's so much you can do with it

One thing I haven't decided on yet is how i want to attach it to the side of the bus. I know it comes with adhesive already on the back but I don't really want to stick it to the bus...would rather have it removable. So I was thinking of sticking it to a roll of magnetic tape and then it can be removable. Thoughts?

Dana, I have a strip under window awning that is attached with the strongest 3m exterior double sided tape. It's been on for two years. To remove all it will take is some wax and grease remover and plastic chisel from HF. Easy

Ok, thanks. It's the hubbster that isn't crazy about sticking it to the bus. I may just do it tomorrow and let him find out on his own, then play dumb...lol Just have to figure out how to power it cause it has a remote and a remote relay that plugs into a power adapter.

Ron led the way and I followed (see page 3). Sorry, not Zip Dees & we didn’t depend on sticky tape. However, the results are outstanding -
