Default Agreed Value RV Insurance Providers

I'm planning on providing the members of WOG with insurance companies who offer the Agreed Value Insurance Policy (AVP). We are hearing of new companies on a regular basis. Attached is a PDF with information which may be useful and what you may need to know or didn't know about your RV insurance coverage.

Listed below are known insurance companies who will provide an agreed value policy coverage, I will update this listing as I find additional companies. I have no connection with or am I a representative with any of these companies. If anyone knows of additional companies please bring them to my attention so I can post them here.

Allied, Blue Sky RV, Diversified Insurance Management, Foremost, National Interstate, Progressive RV.

If you know of any additional AVP coverage companies that I don't have listed please send them to me so I can update the PDF.

Thank you for your assistance.

I agree with you Elliot. I wasn't aware of the Agreed Value Insurance problem until John mentioned it. I recently went with USAA for all my insurance needs. Saved a ton of money. So much so that I got insurance for my coach almost free! USAA sent me to Progressive for the coach and my Harley, because they don't cover those, but must get some sort of discount from Progessive. Anyway, I got Agreed Value insurance on the coach for about $300 a year more than Actual Value. Money well spent, especially since I saved around a grand switching in the first place. This is some of the best advise I have gotten on this forum. Thanks John

If you have not attended a rally at Q, Myrtle Beach, Hershey or especially RATs, you are missing out on the McGinnis insurance information.
He talks about Agreed Value, cash value, scrap value, surrender value etc. etc, and Appraisals. Also the fine print on the back of the policy, that most of us do not read.

He has atleast a thousand pictures of Birds over the years of their life.
Covering condition and Bird History.
Search the Forum for these terms, Here are a few threads.

Add my atta boy to John. With his appraisal, I went from a "whatever we feel like givin' you" policy, to a great AGV policy with Blue Sky, increased my coverage a bunch, and saved hundreds. WOG continues to be a Birders best friend.

My recent experience

Do to our recent move to FL and the 4/1/2011 expiration of my Progressive policy which no longer offers agreed value. I have been shopping for a replacement. Through a Google search I got on to:
Marlene Bounds
Miller Insurance Agency, Inc.
5805 SW Willow Lane
Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035
(800) 622-6347
(503) 636-6347
(503) 699-9348 (Fax)
marlene@millerrvinsurance.com
www.millerrvinsurance.com

Marlene quoted half of the price which I received from "Blue Sky" through
Victoria Insurance (Best's rated A-)for an Agreed value policy 250/500/100
with a $250 deductible for Comp. and Collision. Only weak point is Awnig coverage, which is at depreciated value not replacement value.
(Oregon $ 633. Florida $780.)
Would not be surprised if a good number of Bluebirders would be interested in this connection.

Victoria does need an Appraisal for agreed value. The value will stay constant as long as the policy is acive.

Just upgraded to AVP (Gilbert RV ins. Orlando - agent) with Victoria ins. effective with new policy 3/15/11. Premium increase of $191.86 Value up over $20K. I thought that was more than fair - but what do I know! .
Yes appraisal (thanx John M.) was required. Otherwise a piece of cake. No fuss, no muss, no bother

Really strange how everyone seems to have different experiences with insurance. My Post #3. Don't understand why there is such a difference. It may be just somethinga as simple as the people we deal with either do or don't know what they are talking about. I have read and re-read my policy and it is clearly Agreed Value coverage. The agreed value was based on my purchase price. I pay nearly $300 more for that coverage but it is the best money I have spent for a while.

Insurance rates are very dependant on where you live and where the vehicle is stored/parked on a normal basis, so you will see a difference because of all of our different locations.

I just renewed with Prograssive and mine is an agreed value policy. So it appears to be on a case by case renewal.
