Hard to believe that price...... $2.68 each !

They sent me a handful for free, but I didn't have a part number to help you out.

If BB made the windows I am wondering if they bought the extrusions and parts, etc. from Hehr. Those plastic springs are not exactly like the 25 year old ones, but the design is pretty much the same, and they work fine.

Strange that they would say they didn't have such a part, only to have a distributor come up with them.

The following came from a Wanderlodge factory open house handout dated May 7, 8, 1987:

“We purchase aluminum extrusion made to our specifications from the William L. Bonnell Company in Newnan, Georgia. We then cut to length, punch, bend the aluminum, and assemble the window. Each year we use over 967 miles of aluminum and 792 miles of vinyl in producing over 100,000 windows per year for use in the Fort Valley plants.”

Note: I called the William L. Bonnell Company about a year ago looking for replacement aluminum extrusions for a fellow WOG member who had some damaged window frames but I was told they couldn't help because they didn't stock the extrusions and the molds no longer existed. It may be worth following up to see if that's true.

Here’s the web site:

Default Screen Door sliding panel clip

My screen door has a little sliding panel in order to access the main door handle while the screen door remains closed. It slides on a pair of springy plastic clips. One of the little clips has gone AWOL. I have looked at several hardware stores that do screening as well as mobile home parts departments as well as a couple of small RV shops. No one has seen anything similar. Camping World no luck. No manufacturer's marking on the door.

Any leads?

John,

I seem to recall Mike Sprinkle (member) found a metal replacement for the plastic clips. I seem to recall he posted about this a while back. Looks like those are the same clips used on the window screens.

Just found it. Here is the thread

I just wish I had a screen door. Maybe I should search the Hehr site to see if they have one to fit.

Can anyone confirm that the 010-921 will work to replace the little white part?
