This is making me want to join the "two Bird club" Just when I'm almost caught up on projects, this beast comes along. Sure looks like it would take a lot of time and $$$. Tires, etc.

I sure like the mid- door layout And the extra storage would be nice.

I may run over to look at it tomorrow morning.

Max

I contacted the dealership and they said they would not end the auction - he expects it to go for at least $60k (which is still a good deal)
As someone mentioned there must be something wrong with it if Mr Olivers does not want to send it through their PDI... I am wary of it now...

I would not jump to conclusions too fast. The reason for "as is", may be the age and nit pickers. Look at the big things, make a reasonable offer, you might be surprised what is will sell for.

Max,
Have/are you still going to check this one out? I'm seriously thinking of making the 10hr drive (plus time off work) to check it out.

Is everyone waiting till the last day to make a bid? That seems really weird to me. My $ should be here, in a few more days. Want to wait until I get it to place a bid.

I did not go look at it. I don't need to be in the two bird club and it just doesn't make sense to my DW or me to "upgrade" to a coach that is more complex and is basically the same vintage as ours.
Besides, I have worked on mine until I am pretty confident that it will get me to wherever and back without too much drama. Sure, I would like the extra 100 horsepower but really don't want to start the "learning Process" all over again.

It doesn't make sense to me either that someone hasn't laid down at least a bid or two. Seems like $38-40 K is a bargain Granted, I think the $10k rule for the tires, batteries and etc is appropriate but it still seems like a pretty nice bus

I stopped by Paul Davis's place once to look at a Bus way back before I even knew what a Wanderlodge was. He was gracious and took the time to answer my questions even though I was not an active buyer. He seemed to be a gentleman and I've never forgotten it

Max.

Yep weird, about two weeks ago there was a BMC 40 footer,
bid up to 50+K in two days and then disappeared from fleabag
