Hi Randy
There is air, I'm thinking someone has fitted the air lines incorrectly, with either switch in the open position it is impossible to operate the valves by hand, I can feel I'm fighting the air pressure in the valve, in the closed position I can pull the valves open easily, I'm assuming that the valves would be held shut by air pressure
Thanks for your help
Mick

It sounds like you need a sharpie, and use it to relable the panel!
Or,you can reverse the lines on the switch or the dump valve.

Default What a nightmare

Working on getting power dump to work, gate valve seals destroyed, can not order direct from DP as they don't ship to uk, managed to get round that via a friend of a friend, now trying to find air line schematic for dump valve no air on open side constant air on close side, no matter switch position, I would appreciate any help
Regards
Mick

Mick, the air pressure is used to open the waste gate. I sounds to me as if the switch is stuck/bad. If the other valve is working, compare the operation. Unless someone has been messing with the dump air system it's unlikely it's plumbed wrong but more likely just stuck.
I'm guessing you removed the whole cylinder if you found a bad paddle so now you know if the tank is filled. If the bus has been sitting it probably needs some exercise and a good shot of MMO to lube the air systems.

Mick, assuming they are the Clippard MJTV-4 switches you have air from one auxiliary air source (also powers the step et.c.) that goes in the bottom and then the open and close hoses are in the top of the valve, I believe that the forward hose is the bottom on the valve, rear hose is the top, I am in to mine at present replacing both. I have an air gauge at my switches which is nice as it tells me I have air to operate.

Could you explain why we do not ship to the UK

I always thought that we did

We ship to Australia, New Zealand various countries in Europe

Why would the UK be any different despite the fact that most of my family lives there
Drop me an email and I will get you fixed up
