Default SHOCKED that we found it...

I confess..did not read your entire thread...

liz and i were just sitting by the entrance, having walked thru and admired the sheer quirkiness of it all. Liz said, "I wonder if randy or anyone else posted something bluebird.... at that moment, i looked up and there it was!!!

Good eyes!
We used a ladder of course to get up that high.
Dan,the fist time we went up there the roads washed out and we were stuck right across the street from the entrance,in that parking area.
We were there for several days,3-4?
Hundreds of travelers were stuck in town, and someone organized a "play",to be held in the sign post forest.
I don't remember the name of the play, but they had people from all over playing parts.
Pretty cool.
The road washed out ahead of us,and then behind us,we were stuck until they built a new road.
Not a bad time at all,we sat back and enjoyed the area.

Default Just the opposite

Road is not in danger of washing out for us. There are big fires east of us. Everything is dry as a bone around here. People are pretty worried about the fire season to come, if it is already so dry!

Heading towards Skagway today. Probably will be pretty awful--5 cruise ships scheduled in wednesday when get there, but wanna see it anyway.
