Default Carabelle RV Resort

RVC, the same group who owns Pine Mountain GA RV resort (home of the WOG rally) also owns a nice RV park in Carabelle Florida. Located right across the street from Carabelle Beach, this park is really nice and the management very friendly. Sites are 50A full hook up, concrete pad with landscaped (native coastal type with flowers mixed in) divisions between. Nearby is St. George Island (with great beaches!) and Appalachicola. I have never eaten so much seafood, especially oysters! The only negatives were the advertised beach across the street is sheltered by islands so not much in the way of waves and the water is darkly stained. St. George beaches nearby are directly on the gulf with beautiful water and wave action. The interior sites, while roomy, are difficult to get into. They do not angle so some back and forth maneuvering may be required. The sites on the outer perimeter are angled and hold larger rigs much easier. These were really minor items, it was a great stay and a beautiful park. After spending the last 4 days there I would definitely go back and would recommend to all......

John

Good report John. We were lucky enough to spend 4 days there in January. We also plan to return. Nice Light House on St George.

John, we stayed there for a week last winter. I would walk over to the beach early each morning before Nancy got up and watch the dolphins. Yes, the lighthouse on St. George was interesting as well as the ruins and history of the island. The beaches at Carrabelle are where American soldiers trained for the invasion of Europe during WWII.

John,
What you lack in geography skills you more than made up for other things. Personallity being one of them. You enjoy a good ribbing and that is always cool with me. Life is too short to take anything too serious.

We are staying here next week. We're expecting a great time. Any recommendations on sea food places.
