BLUE BIRD - $4500 (Dekalb)

1980 BLUE BIRD WANDERLODGE REAR BATH MOTOR HOME RUNS AND DRIVES $4500.00 OR BEST OFFER

I emailed and got a note from "Steve" to call "John" the owner. The story is it was originally built for an Indiana company to use to take clients on hunting trips to Canada. After about 10 years the person who sold it to John bought it and kept it until about a year ago. He is now mid 80's and just wanted it gone. John bought it for $1400, replaced the bateries and has had it for about a year and a half and just doesn't have time to go through it. Original interior, air ride, jacks, 3208NA, Zip Dee awnings all around, 175K miles. Supposedly driven by the older gentleman to Arizona and back within the past 2-3 years. Needs tires, has a plugged injector, air ride leaks down after 4-6 hours. He thought he had it siold at $2500, guy didn't come up with the money and he offered it to me over the phone for the same cash money. I need a shorter side bath or I would have gone to get it. John has a trucking company and was willing to arrange for tires to be put on at his place and is also adjacent to a Mack garage that will do any needed service if desired. Sorry, no pictures.

John can be reached at: (815) Nine Zero One - 7510

Good Luck!

I don't think a Wannabe on a budget is going to find a better deal. It would be interesting to see what this bird looked like if the exterior was gone over with a buffer and some compound.

The devil is always in the details. Rust of course would be the biggest concern.

A wise old man once told me there was no such thing as a free pony... I suppose the same applies to old bluebirds too.
