Default Nebraska in Sept?

My wife want's to go and see the kids. He is off work in Sept. (works for Wayne State). When we moved him their it took 3 days of driving a pick-up, U.S.80, and with my back injury I was sick every night. So is it, fly to Omaha & drive to Wayne, or RV & take 4 or 5 days each way?
If it's the RV we would need -FREE- stops each night. Take 80 again, or another way? North / South????
We did Yellowstone, MT. Rushmore, Wild Bill, Grand Tetons.
Then what to see when their if we fly more time? Omaha zoo, ? Weather HOT & hum.

Your back will be the key.

If you decide to drive, there will be plenty of rest areas/ truck stops/ etc to just overnight in free.

Wal Marts, I stay at a lot of them and I always call ahead to see if they still allow overnight parking and ask them where to specifically park the 'Bird. Wanderlodge Owners Group > Takin' it Easy > Campgrounds, RV Parks, Other Places to Sleep, or TO STAY AWAY FROM > Wal Mart Overnight Parking & Diesel Fuel Locations

I think we will fly , what is the best things to see?
I wish I can get the 78BB going and go for the 2 + weeks. Just need the water tanks changed out & I can do the wiring, & fuel pump-EZ. I also got some 3" SST exhaust pipe if it's is a good fit. ( 4 & 1/2" to 2- 3").
