Default 2016 Shipshewana Rally Events and Comments

Now that our rally has started, I thought it may be best to start a new thread where you can post comments and pictures, and we can give schedule information.

First of all, Welcome to Indiana and the Shipshewana Rally. We don't make many plans because we don't want to interfere with your raids on the area stores, but there will be a few events.

Today, Wednesday, there is a flea Market in town. Its Huge. This afternoon,we will have happy hour at the picnic Pavilion at whatever time you want to start being happy or 4PM whichever comes first. Bring your drinks and some munchies if you have them, and a lawn chair or 2. Actually Happy hour may and should happen every day.

Tomorrow, Thursday, we could go to the Essenhaus in Middlebury for dinner. We will have a sign up sheet at the happy hour today or at site 28. Sign up if you wish to go so we can call for reservations.

Friday, you are on your own (of course we can drink in the afternoon again).

Saturday we will have a pot luck over by the pavilion at 4PM. Bring a dish unless you like to bring dessert, then don't bring it there. After we gorge ourselves on food, we will head over to Roland and Joann's Party House and arcade around 6PM for an evening of fun. I've been there, don't miss it. This is also where we will have dessert. We will furnish cake, and if you were going to make dessert, you can bring it to the evening party.

Get your questions together for happy hour tonite and we will do our best to help you out.

Above all, Have fun.

Many thanks for all the efforts by Dave, Tina, Jim, Michele and the hospitality shown by Rowland and Joann Rose last night at their arcade. John and I left at the crack of 5:45 this morning for our long ride back to Pennsyltucky. Hopefully, Dave can get some pics up from our event last night. The arcade was amazing! The rally was perfect, as always, and had a great, relaxed feel. We managed to relieve the surplus shops of some excess stock and are heading home to undertake a few new projects on both of our coaches.

Thanks Shane,

It is always a pleasure to have you and John come to our gathering. And yes Roland and Joann were very generous to allow us to visit their home and enjoy the arcade. We certainly appreciated it and thank them.

You and John and anybody else out there heading home today, if I don't get out there to say it personally, have a safe trip home and thanks for coming. Hope to see you all next year.

Once again a Great Rally,
Many of the Old BB Starwarts attended, the last Newbees attended again, and we met several new face Newbees . An exciting mix of owners.
Styfe's and Walters did a great job of food, weather and placing this Rally within a four hour drive for me.
Headed East with salvage treasure, for a short drive home today.

Our thanks as well. Looking forward to next year already.

It is kind of interesting how pleasant a rally can be without bunches of scdheduled events. It turned out to be a wonderful depressurization period for us. Great to see old friends and make new ones.

I completely enjoyed my trip to Shipshewana this year. Leon fixed me up with a total charge of $90.00 (how good is that???)

Shane did half of the driving and he cooks and cleans up after himself. Not that Ethel doesn't but some of my other buddies don't.

My only regret (and trust me I am kidding for sure) is that nothing broke. I mean I had the Shane with me the guy doesn't have to fix anything. (Which hasn't been typical he's certainly put out plenty of fires for me in the past)

Well that's not entirely true but nothing MAJOR. He corrected the tension on my awnings and some little stuff.

I really appreciate seeing my friends. I missed Ethel and the dogs but separation makes the heart grow founder and she enjoys her space as well.

Thanks Dave and Tina and all the others who did the work. It's a great little RV park and just a nice place to be.
