Bye bye Arizona!
We drove our bird down from Oregon to our little nest in Lake Havasu in preparation of my 3rd back surgery next week. That way we can come down for Q in January sharing driving. I will sure look forward to returning for the people and the sunsets!
This was taken from our porch overlooking the Colorado River just now.

Update:
The surgery was successful and I am on the mend. I can't lift anything ( while the wife is present) but I am able to get out and walk. I would much prefer to be walking in Arizona as it is both cold and wet in Hood River but the fact that I can walk again without my legs going numb is great! 50 years ago I would have been in a wheel chair instead! I wish we were going to Puerto Penasco after Q but it is not in the cards this time around.

Good luck with the recuperation, John! We'll be finally coming to Q this year (in our new-to-us WB43). Now we're both retired with the house sold, we're full-timing it so not sure exactly when we'll be there; probably start down right after New Year from the Kansas City area, where we are right now, visiting family (& free 50A hook-up, courtesy of my brother-in-law
 ). We'll see you down there!
