Default Waste tanks

Hi to all forum members from uk
I've just been to empty waste tanks, there seems to be a problem, all waste is in black tank, nothing in grey tank, if anyone has any ideas of what can be done to fix this I would be very grateful for information
Thanks in advance
Mick

Hi Mick,
Did you have anything in the grey tank prior to pump out?

Do you know if the gauges work correctly?

Do you know if the tanks have been modified?

Nothing in grey tank, when I pulled the valve nothing came out, black first which clearly had an awful lot of water, then grey, nothing to rinse the pipe out, I can't see any modifications at the moment
Thanks for replying
Mick

what year is the coach?
air dumps or manual?

pics of dump valves maybe?
If its a WB as your sig states,it should have air dump valves and the paddle may have come off the shaft.

Thanks Randy
Built 93 reg in 94 has the gold colour air valves that don't work (need to get them working, the gray tank sounds empty if I tap it, pulled both valves by hand, if I move the switches to the open position, it's impossible to pull them open
Really grateful for the replies
Mick

Mick, I have a '93 also. There is no way that he grey tank would be empty if you used the shower and sinks, unless the grey valve was open when you dumped allowing both tanks to void themselves or both valves were open during use and they mixed. You need to take your valves apart and make sure the paddles are there, not broken, and otherwise functional. If you look at this https://www.dupreeproducts.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=13 it will show you the parts and how they go together. You may need to order new valve gate and or seat assembly, but you won't know until you take them apart. When you do take some pics and post them so we know what you are seeing and maybe that will help diagnose your issue.

You can order the parts you need here. https://www.dupreeproducts.com/

I forgot to say you need to add the year of your coach to your signature. This will help all of us understand what you are talking about. There are many different iterations of some items.

Hi Mick,
I have driven on a lot of roads in the UK and in continental Europe. I had often wondered what it would be like to drive a bird on those roads. I can't help but think about you driving through the Scottish Highlands and taking turns at a passing place! I think those of us here in the colonies would love to see some pictures of your bird out and about on the roads, even in parking lots and campgrounds. I can only imagine the comments you get at campgrounds. If you get the opportunity, please post some photos. Glad to have you on board.

What does that mean, they don't work?
You do know they need air to operate?
