But what about a transmission? And a rear end? I haven't figured that out. What would hold 600 HP? lol.

Can I run the air compressor from a PTO on the trans? I think it needs to be up high. I already measured for the 8V. It will fit, just the compressor has to be turned 90 degrees or moved to the other end of the engine. I bet I can handle that. The transmission I didn't measure for, however.
I imagine an 8v with twins and two giant pipes coming out under the bumper would turn some heads. Stupid, I know. Stupid awesome!

Sure, the 4000 has a pto,no reason why running a compressor would nit work.

Shipping from Panama might be a little issue.
I bet it would run good and sound great. I can just hear it now in the tunnel going up Wolf Creek Pass at full throttle. But I’m partial to F4 Phantom or SR-71 jets at full afterburner at sunrise. Or the Concorde doing a low pass at Oshkosh. The sounds of Freedom !!!! Max

Cooling will be the problem. Maybe 2 truck radiators (1 for each bank) mounted horizontally on roof with electric fans for slow driving and big ram jet scoops to drive air through them at speed. If you take the original radiator out, you will have room to run the 4" piping from the engine to the radiators.

Max,
The Concorde can get old in a hurry... I used to live on an island in Queens, NY called Broad Channel, NY, well it was about five miles from JFK's longest runway and every Saturday morning about 8 AM the Concorde would come in for a landing, which wasn't too bad, especially when after a night out... BUT, on Sunday morning it would take off at 7:30 AM, now that used to shake the building ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Quote:

I don't know why I looked, but the Allison 4000 is the same length as the MT654. It's actually a little shorter? So to keep this fantasy alive, I would also need a rear end with a 4.56 or lower gear. 2000 rpm would get me going to 85 in 6th with a 4.56. That seems about right, but a little less gear would be nice. 73mph at 2000 in 5th.
