Default Leaking LP Regulator - Replacement sanity check.

On our last trip I could smell propane coming form the LP bay. Luckily, I was able to quickly locate the leak with some soapy water and a spray bottle. The leak is coming from a rubber gasket on the regulator (pict 1)

Instead of trying to replace the leaking gasket, I think it's best to replace the entire regulator (I figure better safe than sorry when dealing with gas leaks). I'm looking for some fellow WOG'ers to give me a sanity check.

It looks like the existing regulator is a Fischer 810L lp regulator. (pict 2)

I've found several regulators that seem like they would work, but there are slight variations on the model.

Any opinions on which regulator I should get? Also, they all seem to be 3/4" NPT and that seems too big. Should I just reduce it down?

If I'm way off base, I'm looking for someone to give me vector so I can correct course.

Thanks
Rich

... One last wrinkle. I buddy of mine said I could potentially use this regulator - Mr. Heater F273763 1/4" inlet and 3/8" outlet 2-stage pressure regulator. It's only $30 on amazon, so it would be great if it works. Thoughts?

Do not fool around with LP regulators. Take the old one to the local LP gas company and they will get you the correct one.
Also make sure you use the proper LP gas pipe dope for the fittings that screw into it.

Rich.
I got a R232-BBFXA 1/4 INLET 1/2 OUTLET to replace mine when the same gasket was leaking. The ones that Blue bird had installed are obsolete. The life span of the diaphram in these regulators is around 20 years on the high pressure side.

Make sure your regulator is a (2) TWO Stage that is able to handle tank pressure that can be as high as 235 PSI on a hot day and traveling down the road.
The second stage regulator is made for a high pressure regulator installed before it. FYI. I was almost confused by this too since they look very similar to each other. Always check the tag on the regulator you are going to install for proper information.

Good call. I think I setup my account here before we had the coach. Thanks for the suggestion.
