No. All Silveleaf products require an engine computer, and preferably also a transmission computer.

Butch, when looking at cooling issues, have the shop check the transmission heat exchanger which is in-line with the botton radiator coolant hose. A partially blocked heat exchanger will limit the coolant returning to the 8V92 engine water pump.

The links below may help.

The Silverleaf system sounds interesting. Do you know if I could put this monitoring system in my 90 SP with a Cat 3208? I'm sure this is something that I should know, but I'm a real newbie to RVs. Thanks
Dan

What additional information is shown that is different from the dash gauges?

Dan I would call Silverleaf with your question. There's a link to their contact info earlier in this thread

Default Heat exchanger blockage

Butch, here is a link to Shane's photo album on his transmission cooler replacement.

Picture 17 shows some blockage that may cause engine temps to be elevated.

Good luck on the rebuild.

Has anyone noticed that Camping World has something out similar to Silverleaf and they are less expensive, I haven't had a chance to check them out myself yet.

Yes Butch, I noticed that this month. I would also be curious as to what it will monitor and how well it will work. Go to Camping world and search for
Catalog Item # 60963
On sale for $269 I think. and does not require a computer. I would guess it does not have the capabilies of the silverleaf, but it may be better. Sure be convient to not have to go through a computer.
