Default Looking for info on 1988 WB 40 XXV

Hi,

My wife and I have been quietly envying the Bird community for quite some time and we are now in the market to purchase our first Bird. We've narrowed it down to a couple options, but I was wondering if anybody has information about this particular coach (link below). It's being sold at car dealership and the owner said he picked it up an estate sale/auction.

It seems to be priced a bit high (or on par with a dealership), but does anyone know more about this rig? Or does anyone know Norman (the owner)?

Thanks
Arge

Hey Arge, Welcome to the group. this is the place for friends and knowledge of these ole Birds. My advice is to find a known on this forum coach that has some history. And talk to Randy, he usually knows of for sale coaches that aren't even listed. If your looking for a early
wide body check this known coach out.

Arge that has been for sale at least a year and a half. We were looking at an xxv in Florida at the time and that one was for sale back then. They are ddec 1 engines. We ended up going the bmc route, no regrets at all, but we did like the xxv paint scheme and interiors. Good hunting.

Thanks for the info... The consensus is that it's been on the market for awhile, and the owner (of the coach and the dealership) doesn't seem to be a very motivated seller. Looks like our search will continue. Thanks again!

As was stated, call Randy . That was the best decision we made! He steered us to our '92 SP after losing a bundle on a New Gulfstream Garbage Scow. 6 years later and we still love it!
