Caterpillar 3208 Solutions This sub-forum is hosted by Mike Hohnstein who has been at this kind of thing for 50+ years now, guess I'm addicted. The saga has been all about progressively larger shop space since then. Honestly, never wanted to get into the CAT 3208's that were originally considered to be a throwaway engine but that's all that works in a FC in my world. Same thing with my Ford toter, that came with a NA, too much effort to hang in a 6, so been at it with the CAT V-8 for 20 years now. In reality you can get excellent life out of a CAT 3208 if it's built correctly. Post your questions about the CAT 3208 engines here and Mike will try to help you out.

Got the 1/2 electric impact, 13 ton air over hydraulic jack, 2, 15 ton jack stands. full set of 1/2 6 point impact sockets. A 3/8 air impact for small stuff. A click type torque wrench. A 1/2 inch 30 inch breaker bar. Full kit if small hand tools. A 5 pound maul hammer. Full set of 3/8 inch 6 point sockets and a snap on ratchet. Full set of 3/4 inch drive 6 point sockets and a 3/4 ratchet. Air driven transfer pump. Got to look into a water and fuel pump and for an ICM Cummins. Didn't think about the leveling valves. Belts are on the list. Kept a couple of better air bags from when they replaced them all. Kept a steer and drive axle air brake spring can from the set they tossed when I had them replaced. Bucket check.

I always intended the bottle jack for lifting the axle once the hwh had unloaded it, reality: I have used the jack as a hydraulic press pushing against the bottom of the receiver hitch.

Don't leave home without it. Useful for cars, trailers, golf carts etc.

I carry a firemans ax,just in case i need to chop someone out of a car,or bus.
I have jackstands, dunnage, big tools and small tools and parts, lots of parts.
Parts that are not easy to get on the road.
I also have several big fire extinguishers on board, inside and in the bays.
A ladder is handy too (we stole a ladder from a home on the side of the road once to put a fire out on a bird,we saved the bird and returned the ladder later).
(Carol stole the ladder!!)
I also have a high pressure water pump plumbed into my water tank,i have a garden hose attached, this pump can shoot water a long way.
You never know when you may need water to put out a fire or...

What kind of pump Randy? Another awesome idea. I have the foam automatic fire extinguishers from Fire Fight products in Orlando. One each for my engine and gen compartment. Looking at the box right now. My coach is back in the shop. Second run I took it on last week. I got cut off my a semi. Mashed the brakes, hardly anything. Missed the truck by 3 feet. After I changed my britches I took it to another shop near where this happened real slow. The new air brake cans on the drive axle were not right. The dealer who did the work is fixing them again. I know they watch the WOG.

I did the pump in 2012,i bought one at horrible freight,12v and had garden hose threads on each side.
No idea on brand, and its buried behind lots of stuff,no way to see it today.
