Just ordered mine today. I know the owner of the NAPA store here, so I don't think I'll have any problems.

2018 update -

Just spent some time down this rabbit hole, and eventually found the rabbit.

Current details are here:

https://aitaonline.com/napa-partner/...rative-program

But - you can only sign up via their mobile app.

Quote:
There is no longer a sign up link on the website. You must download the AITA App on your smart device (Apple Iphone, Apple IPad, Android Tablet, Android phone, etc).

Additionally, there's a Goodyear discount program - access that is not through the app, but through:

https://aitaonline.com/products/tires

there you'll fill out a PDF form and email that to the address on the page.

There's a price list at the bottom of that page - but it's password protected, so you probably have to get approved to see it. Or call their phone number.

Discounts apply to car and light truck tires, too, so I'm going for it.

Thanks for the information but most of us have signed up maybe 5 years ago or more. I think everybody that wants one has it by now.

uh, really? so no one is buying wanderlodges anymore, everyone who wanted one already has one.

I can think of at least 12 'birds bought by new first time owners -since I bought mine in june 2018-.

I think having updated instructions is still relevant, since the program still exists.

It took me awhile this afternoon also but, I was successful in signing up. I'll try using it tomorrow. Is it supposed to work at all Napa stores? Their website doesn't show all the locations in Wilmington.

I tried to use my card at the Napa in Whitehall, MI. The owner of that Napa would not accept it and told me that his normal pricing is better than other store that mark it up just so they can give the discount. That's the first time I was ever denied using the card at any Napa and I won't be going back there.

Just about every time I use the card they say they don’t take them until I tell them to turn the card over and read the instructions.

on the mobile app version it also has the instructions, so you should be able to just show those to them...and convince them to follow them

Well David I pulled a rookie mistake. I didn't realize you posted on a 6 year old thread
So if you want to bust my chops, go for it. I thought you being a newbie maybe just discovered the AITA Card based on "jumping down that rabbit hole and just finding the rabbit". I did say "thanks for the information" so I wasn't being critical just letting you know the information has been out there for a while, in case you thought it was new news.

haha, no worries - the thread is a sticky in it's forum group, so it has strong visiblity regardless of it's age. additionally, it was just linked to from another thread. (and: the administrative trend on WOG seems to lean toward keeping old threads updated with new information, instead of starting new threads. definitely my prefered style as well)

It might be worth having the first post updated with current information (mods?) - since the links on the front page are broken (they 301 redirect to a broken url), and the first few and last few pages of the thread didn't seem to address the current process. Hence the rabbit hole of tracking down how to do it in 2018.

It wasn't super hard - a google search with the right key words, then finding the right result that matched what I was trying to achieve. but I literally do that sort of thing for a living all day long, and I'm well aware that not everyone finds the process as easy. so, I offered a direct current view of the process.
