yeah it was a good find! Buying one to have as a spare almost guarantees you will never need it...but for 30 bucks its good insurance for what could be a hard to find part.

I carry a spare "turn signal assembly" plus I keep a spare "turn signal switch" on hand - just in case.

These "turn signal switches" should be good to have around but like Bill said, be aware that there will be some wiring work involved because the wires have to feed through two rubber grommets in the metal housing that the switch mounts in and it's a pretty tight fit.

One other note, my "turn signal assembly" appears to have slightly smaller gauge wires than my spare "turn signal switch". Getting the larger wires squeezed into the housing and through the grommets during assembly may be a bit of a challenge.
