I've been planning on building one for ours. The slide out generator will make it a challenge , but with a little red-neck engineering i believe we can make a decent looking one .

I will have one.
Just last year an LXI hit something in a construction zone,it totaled the bus,but it was driveable.
If he had had a moose guard like thet he would have had almost no damage.
I think i can build one that looks a little nicer, but from a pure brut strength thing, the LX guy wins hands down.
Let's talk on Wednesday. I have some ideas I would like your opinion on!

And WOW is that UGLY!

I think I'll take my chances without one and just buy good insurance.

The LXI owner was thinking about taking out herds of large animals, not singles. Can you say Armageddon?

The problem is,if your bus is totaled where do you find another bus as good as the one you have?
And then theres the other part, will you survive the accident?

I have been to Alaska twice,we talked to the truckers when we could and we talked about the moose guards.
They told us when you see a moose in the road you downshift and hit it as hard as you can, knock the moose off the road and into the woods.
If you don't,you run a chance of it spinning around and coming into the cab.
Plus, the downtime of having your bus wrecked is not what i want.
Ugly it may be,but if it saves a life or my bus its ok with me.

As the old saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

I love them and would gladly put one on my bus, but it would have to be chrome

I don't plan to go to Alaska so I guess I'll be okay. Although I did pass a moose crossing sign in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last year.

The Canadians I've talked to say just don't drive at night. You can't see the reflection from their eyes like you can with deer.

It looks like a standard (if there is such a thing) moose guard for a semi that they made mounts to the frame for.

Maybe modify one like this:
It might be too tall in the center though.

Or, MORE LIGHTS! - Oh well, the site apparently layers the images, so you would have to go to the site and select the additional lights.
