Default I have too much time on my hands

I have been giving a lot of thought to an electric car... I did meet one BB owner that tows a Volt... I have been doing some surfing and considered possibly to some's thinking, close to insanity...

I recently bought a beautiful 1948 MGTC... I wonder what it would be like to take a 1200 pound car, 70 yrs old and convert it to all electric... I didn't buy it with this in mind because it runs good and fun to drive and gets more attention that you really want... my mechanic did all the fuel changes and rebuilt the brake system and a full tune up... but what if...

I know there are gear heads in the WOG community also some with a level head... I know I cant drive my coach anymore, but I still drive a car

If you have a thought on the subject please let me know

Hey all... just wanted to put an ear worm on you... Randy, the HEMI would weigh as much as the car, sans motor and other pieces... but it would be a cool ride... looking into the future and not knowing if I am going to looking UP or DOWN... it would make a funny show to see my heirs fight over it...

Yes,i agree!!
But being a gear head and a lover of big gas hog engines,i could not see converting it into a golf car!
Yes,i know,an electric car is badass,lots of power etc,but i just can't do it!!

There is a company that does that. I have seen early bugs and corvairs done. They will do almost any vehicle. Now, I have to get the cobwebs off that part of the brain and think of the company. They showed a Porsche 356 done.
I REMEMBER, it was on the "Jay Leno Garage" show.
