Default alternator

My alternator reads 485 ohms to ground. Thats about 24 ma leakage through the diodes. That seems a little high to me. Any one know what it should be?

I just checked an extra alternator I had and on a 20k scale did not get any reading? I reversed the leads to eliminate polarity. Do you have your regulator plugged in? Assuming it has an external one?
