Default airline overhead bins ... New owner

I'm looking for some suggestions. I am trying to move our things over from our previous RV to the Bluebird (1995 BMC 37). I am at a loss as to what to store in the airline overhead bins. There isn't much room for them & none of my bins fit in there. I'm thinking maybe clothes up there, sheets, etc? Things that bend and give. Hope some of you have some good ideas for me. Thanks so much.

Hand towels, small hand tools, boxes of kleenex, and Hats. Not much else fits. It's the price we pay for ducted air conditioners. The ducts use up a lot of space.

My wife stores all the stuff she uses to decorate, once we get to our destination. Small lamps, table cloth for the steering wheel table. The round top for the steering wheel table goes under the couch. Games, other incidentals such as toys for the "kids" the furry kids. Blanket for covering up on the couch and so on. Ours are only half used.

Granted our 84 might not have the same overhead compartment sizes as yours, but what I did with mine was to build a shelf halfway up.
This gave me 2 shelves to store junk...er...stuff..
We live and travel in ours fulltime and still have some space in the cupboards.

Toilet paper is a good example

Default Steering wheel table

Jim,
Do you happen to have a picture of your steering wheel table when it's set up?

I don't think I do, but it is super simple. Tilt the wheel all the way up, but be careful not to hit the A/T switch with your knuckles Then place a round wooden top on top of the wheel. It will be perfectly level. Then just put a round table cloth over it. It will look like a table lamp and that is what the wife uses it for along with a couple of other nick nacks to decorate. You can cut a piece of plywood to suit or I bought one of those real cheap DIY tables at Big Lots or someplace. The tables come with the round top brackets mounted underneath to screw in three dowel legs that come with it. Remove the brackets, throw the legs away and you have what I did. Just as cheap as getting the plywood and easier. I think we got the round table cloth at Big Lots too along with the lamp. The lamp will have to be sort of a night stand size lamp not too big so it will not look ridiculous.
