Default ants

Hi Ladies! I heard some of you talking about ants but obviously did not pay enough attention. We seem to be infested with teeny tiny black ants, perhaps sugar ants?? I did some reading and it suggested mixing borax with something sweet that they will take back to the nest. Any suggestions?? Leah

Wal-Mart or equivalent. Ant traps. The tiny ants are hard to get rid of; they'll travel 100 feet or more from the nest to a food source and will chew through barriers to get there.
If you're mobile move; once away from the nest the foragers will be gone in a couple weeks.

We (along with a bunch of others) got infested at WOG in Pine Mountain. It took a couple weeks after coming home before they disappeared.

Yes, yes we did!
It took several weeks before they finally disappeared. I cleaned the bus thoroughly and vacuumed up all that I saw, then put out basic ant baits and they are now finally gone!

Find Talc which is cheap baby powder. They hate that stuff and you can use it safely around pets and such. Just spread it around and they will leave.

Make sure you read the label and dont buy corn starch! That would be Food!
The cheap stuff from dollar store is normally talc.

Thank you all very much for the information, it is our hope that will use some of these tactics and get rid of these little creatures. We have been enjoying the bus immensely and we have been renovating and I am hoping to attach a photo of some of our changes before I signed off.

Diatomaceous Earth works on most insects with exoskeleton how ever we had a hard time getting rid of those tiny sugar ants they would walk over dia. earth unless it was very thin and bone dry we used the sugar ant traps and the dia earth,,,there gone after a week of them being everywhere! ! best of luck with them

Default Sevin 5% Dust

We’ve all seen the natural ant deterrents described on YouTube & Google - Varying mixtures of DE, Comet, Borax, Cornmeal (feed them to death), Vinegar, Lemon Juice, Cinnamon... I’ve tried most and am happy if you’ve found one that works for you. However, in severely ant infested areas drastic measures are sometimes needed. That’s when I go nuclear with Sevin 5% dust. Sprinkle it ON the jack pad plates and on the axles, then Vaseline the electric line if we’re in a FHU park. I don’t typically connect water and sewer except when actually filling/dumping. Lastly, this stuff is NOT natural or non-toxic so be careful when using it.

Here’s a video describing the stuff (FF to 4:30 to skip the fluff): https://youtu.be/CdrTXLo2bEA
