Default New Tires

I am FINALLY a new owner, I found a 2001 LX in California I just bought however it needs tires before making the journey back to Ohio.

I cant seem to find a definitive size for the tires? 315? 295? 285?

I also see that Michelins seem to be the preferred choice? I was thinking of saving some money and buying Toyo's?

any advice is appreciated and hope to meet some of you out on the road someday soon!

James

My 03 Lx runs 315 / 80 R 22.5s Michelins. Congrats on the coach. That's a long drive. I hope you had it inspected to make sure it's up to it. On my coach, I found the airbags cracked as they were original. I had them changed. Then I got the spring cans all changed out on the air brakes because they have a big hunk of rubber in them that dry out. Good luck and update your signature lol. Post pics!

You can run 315 as I do. No issues. I run Toyo and they have done well. Should be less $. I wouldn't be concerned about Air Bags or Brake Pods as long as the coach airs up and the brake system works as designed. Nothing looks like new after 18 years.

Congratulation on your new LX.
A lot of owners have gone to the 315's. They should be read ally available if you have a issue on the road. Toyo's are a nice tire.
Good Luck
