Default Other things to do at the WOG rally

The campground will be hopping with activity all week long, but if you just can't get excited about looking at another spotless engine bay???...
There's some nice things to see in SW Georgia. Here's some links to some places in the area that aren't too far away.

Pine Mountain has shopping and eating places downtown
http://www.pinemountain.org/about

Callaway Gardens offers tours, recreation and golf
https://www.callawaygardens.com/?NCK=8554213254

Wild Animal Safari is close and offers....head in the vehicle... tours
http://www.animalsafari.com/

FDR state park has hiking
https://gastateparks.org/FDRoosevelt

A trip to Warm Springs has more small town shopping and food.
The Little White House is interesting

https://gastateparks.org/LittleWhiteHouse

LaGrange has it all
https://www.visitlagrange.com/

Along with Columbus

Check out the National Infantry Museum It's great!
https://nationalinfantrymuseum.org/

How about something completely crazy and visit Senoia and experience some Walking Dead!
https://www.exploregeorgia.org/city/senoia
https://www.walkindeadharalson.com/
You can probably get "extra" work.....about 85 bucks a day and lunch
https://marinellahumecasting.com/

Looking to spend the day shopping? Just North on I85 is Newnan
https://www.exploregeorgia.org/city/newnan
https://ashleyparknewnan.com/

And of course you can find anything you want an hour north in Atlanta
https://www.atlanta.net/

Some of the local places would give a group discount if enough people are interested.

Kip. Don’t forget about the train painting on the side of the building in town. It will boggle your mind

Hey Mike there are now 2 or 3 of those painting in town on the side of buildings. Need to look at those.

There is no reason for anyone to say there is nothing to do at WOG, always something going on.

Great steak hose over in Warm Springs, Weriwether Steak Co. located in the middle of a cow pasture, nothing fancy but good food.

See everybody there, come by site 148

It appears that Tuesday and Wednesday night will be the peak of two meteoroid showers.

My daughter and grandchirren will be coming from Atlanta at the beginning of the week so I can foot the bill for the wild animal park. I’ve got one I may just put out of the car and see how he fends in the wild.

I've heard it's well worth it to use their vans. The animals are not shy about jumping up on whatever you are in.

Personally I feel WOG is a family reunion of sorts. I might go buy some beer or take a bike ride but in my opinion all the action is right here in the park . The bonds you make at WOG will last a lifetime . Not only that you will never find another park where you will see so many repairs and upgrades taking place . Just look for guys carrying there chair and join in for a great time and maybe even learn something . Same can be said of any BB Rally so don't worry about needing to go anywhere else you will have plenty of time for that .
