Hi Duwyane, I had the same problem 4 or so years ago. I replace the alternator. Found the isolator on driver side compartment behind charger/inverter behind a big rubber sheet . I put in a Bosch al9960lh 160 amp 1 wire alternator. It needs 12 volts for exciting so I moved engine battery wire from b1 on the isolator to b2 so it could have 12 volts. Just unhooke extra wire from old alternator and taped the the off. Good luck

Tim I've got a regular solenoid back there and also this big thing that looks like a heat sink. My assumption is that the solenoid is the manual combined bank and the big heatsink combines them when the engine is on so the engine charges the house bank is that correct?

Does this look like the heat sink with battery cables attached to it?

I don’t remember a solenoid being there, but maybe. Mine is Hehr /Powerline model 33-43. https://www.emarineinc.com/categorie...tery-Isolators Kinda looks like big heat sink.

Made a 4awg cable to combine banks so I don't have to rely on the combining solenoid to get me home.

Made it home now I can pull the alternator and take it to a rebuilder for testing- there's a really good shop here in Austin.
