Get it home, take the test in your RV.
There has to be some kind of grace period, plus what cop is really going to know the laws?
Its not commercial,its an RV.
I would like to add, when was the last time you have seen an RV stopped by a law officer? I agree with Randy, you are over thinking this.

Best bet is to move out of NY.

RVShare and Outdoorsy rent RVs, if you decide you want to take the test ahead of time. But yeah...seems like you'd be good for the delivery home.

Bob,
Just to give you my take on this is; I have lived most of my adult life in NY, where I had my 84FCSB since 2006 to 2013, when I drove it to FL... Where I sold it... I did not ever get the R license for driving the bus, which I drove all over NY and never did I get stopped for anything... I even had a front blowout on I 87 on my way to the storage facility I kept it at, even then no police officers showed up...
As Randy says; just drive it home and then take the test if you think you need to...
HTH

So, either that or (shudder) would have to really buy an sob

guess there's an off chance that a seller might transport too

Thanks, Larry - I appreciate it, along with everyone else who gave me their thoughts on this !! Although a little nervous about jumping into something like this & driving solo, just might have to!

Markus - thanks for the heads-up, just sent you one back

You can do it, just remember, it's bigger than most other things on the road, learn where the lines are on the road using your mirrors, take your time, and the most important item, DON'T TAILGATE, it doesn't stop as quick as a car. Almost forgot, you are not a commercial vehicle, so don't stop for the scales.
