Yes I also wish that all of the 450 owners would post here on WOG so the information could be found and used by all owners. This is such a valuable tool for all owners of all models and a lot of 450 owners come here and research in formation but do not post good information about repairs, parts located pertaining to the 450.

We as Wanderlodge owners are all in this together and this site is the best I have found to obtain information, help and over the years some great friends.

Come on fellow 450 owners this is the place to discuss issues and post information where it can be found by others and future owners. I sure would clear up al lot of email space on my phone !!!

I remember about 3 years ago Erika and I were on our way to Idlewild up the mountain outside Palm Springs to see some snow It dosent snow in Palm springs but a short ride up 5k feet will get you some . Well any way on our way up it is snowing and as we are twisting our way up what do you think I see coming around the bend ? Yes a 450 BB . I say to Erika OMG I hope he makes it down lol Well he did make it down and was parked for a few days at our resort . Just goes to show the effects of keeping this great coach in the closet . By the way the 365 Michelin tier was made for the Prevost XL11 s weight issue . The early 365 tiers had a tread issue that caused the tier to come apart on turns due to low tier pressure I heard . The new ones worked this issue out I heard .

I really wish I could offer more insight(nuts and bolts) about the 450, having only owned the coach for a couple months-it will take more saddle time for me to be able to speak clearly about the 450-

I will say the first thing I did notice in driving the 450 was the extra rubber(365)on the steer vs the smaller steer tires on my 2000 LXI-

Also- the location of the air bags on LXI vs 450 was a great improvement

My wife(BOSS)says she can sleep now in the bedroom on the 450-

The 450 is absolutely a dream to drive-

I do miss my 12.7 DD - not a fan of yellow engines

All 450’s are Cat C-13 with Allison. Seems to be a great combo.

This is the second time I have read this thread from start to finish. Back in Sept I said, "Sure is quiet here. If you 450 owners would discuss your coaches more, I'd learn more. Maybe buy one. Then again Patty and I haven't ever seen any model of BB in person yet. Tougher to find than an Alpine Coach"

We bought a 450 and I used two sources, WOG and 450LXI that Greg started. I have no idea how the email chain works or even how to access it. For me it may as well not exist. Recently, questions on 450LXI have been recapped in the email chain. Why?

I am a newbie, so you can look at this as someone who doesn't know what I'm talking about. And maybe here I'm preaching to the choir.

We are all doing ourselves a dis-service by having no "real" place to go for help. That keeps potential buyers afraid to make the leap. For you original owners, you think keeping these M450 a secret helps your resale value. I submit it does not. I truly vacillated over the purchase of our 450. It was only through conversation with people that I found RIGHT HERE, that I decided to buy our M450. Heck they were the only ones I knew who had 450's. Thought there were only 4-5 450's in the whole nation (sarcasm).

Look up a Newell review in FMCA from 2003 IIRC. That sucker was over weight on all axles.....who ever is concerned about that!! So the 450 was fixed, let's move on and talk about the good and help everyone keep them running and improve them.

We owned an Alpine coach. I can tell you that the Alpine forum on iRV2 is invaluable to the owner and potential owners of an Alpine. The people who purchased our Alpine Coach bought in part because of the iRV2 website.....information!!! That is what we need here. I am not trying to take away from what Greg has started, it has helped me. There are some new owners that have gravitated to the 450LXI site as well as this one. But if we could all choose one site to have all the information and help in one place, we would see the value and interest in our coaches go up...just like all the other Birds.

In the last 20 threads, I started 15 of them. I know we have more owners that can participate. Participate, raise awareness of the bus, have one place for all the answers and we will promote the brand by default. Stay fractured and hide behind a wall and potential owners will run for a Foretravel, Newell, CC maybe even a Prevost and miss out on the great brand "Blue Bird" that we all have. Together we can all create a synergy.

Done..........

Well said Tom. Without the forum we would not have any support as owners of any model bird. Information needs to be placed here for future owners. Another benefit is the members here are great people and some of our best friends.

Come on 450 owners jump in here and help keep all these great machines running!

wrvalpine. it is simple, ask questions. The 4 or 5 guys that post here have great information. Randy helps me a lot with buying, selling and fixing. The 450 has a sporlan valve too.

This web site and the WOG community is one big reason why we purchased our 450. That and all the information contained therein. I've talked to several on here including Greg, Brian, Ross, and Tom. I want to personally thank them for their insight and wisdom. And a big thanks to Randy who IMHO is the guru of everything Wanderlodge. Everyone's input has been invaluable to me as I try to get my 60 year old head wrapped around it's nuisances and idiosyncrasies.

IMHO it's the best kept secret out in the industry and highly undervalued. I don't know how to raise awareness of it's engineering and quality other than to post questions. I think that in many cases no one wants to ask a stupid question. I have asked a bunch of them on Greg's site. From now on it will be here and there. Just be gentle with this imbecile.
