Under The Awning Here is where you can carry on a conversation, just like............well, like you were sitting under your awning at the campsite. |

Turns out, if you get rid of the pavement they actually drive pretty straight! Thanks for all the great feedback. As long as you keep watching, we’ll keep sharing from our trip across Canada to Alaska in our FC35RB last summer (until the COVID lockdown is over, then we get back out there). Enjoy!

Thanks so much for producing these!!! Good ratio of bus and scenery content. When does the pavement run out? Was that gravel stretch only because of construction or permanent? Anthony

If your going to drive Alaska you can expect dirt and gravel roads.
The dirt roads are better than the pavement, sometimes.

Not that you would want your bird out in it, but I remember the roads being better in the winter with the ice and snow filling in the potholes.

On this stretch, it was mainly due to paving/construction. One of our main reasons for going with an FC was the extra ground clearance (to the sacrifice of bigger basement storage of a pusher). The farther North we went, the more we appreciated having that extra distance between us & the dirt/gravel/rocks below.

You call'n me fat? lol yeah.
I don't really think an FC has better ground clearance. And the generator is hanging out waiting to bang on something. I think the ride height is the same, too.
