From a guy who’s FC can see -40 I just blow lines out then pump pink RV antifreeze hooked up just prior to the pump till pink runs out all faucets and toilet open low point valve. Also Methyl Hydrate is what is used for anti gelling agent, can be bought at drugstores the automotive branded stuff is same thing higher price. I also make sure P traps have pink in them never had a problem with frozen lines.

The other lesson I've learned from my other diesels is that a functional fuel filter heater makes a big difference, too. I think the old Perkins will be getting one soon.

Trust me I'd rather not be up here.

I did my own pink antifreeze test. At 0 it's slushy. At -10 it's not very slushy, call it crunchy. At -20 it would hurt you if I threw it at you. And at -29 it was hard, but I could bust it up with a good hard foot stomp. I was going to mix a little water into it to see how it behaved but by then it was cold out.

Do not move to the north west, terrible weather. Little rainy and mid 50's . Never have to winterize fuel never gells up, How boring.

Temp is up already, it's like 19 now. It's supposed to be near 50 Sunday/Monday. 80 degree temp swing. I can't imagine living in a place that doesn't freeze!
