Thumbs up

We stayed a week at this park 7 or 8 yrs ago. It is one of the nicer parks I have used in the last 30 yrs of camping.

James Island County Park

Charleston, South Carolina

843-795-PARK (7275) or 843-795-4386

James Island is a very nice park. KOA is a little closer to downtown, I believe the address is Isle of Palms. A bit more expensive than James Island, but we had a nice stay there a couple of years ago. Also, there is a city bus with a stop within walking distance that will take you downtown if you need transportation.

Default Campground near Charleston

Oak Plantation is 8 or so miles from the Charleston pennisula. From I-26 you can get to it on I-526 to US-17 south. All nice roads. It's a very nice place big rig friendly. They have a web site.

Default Oak Plantation

Just got back from 3 days at Oak Plantation RV Park. Very nice and quiet. Is was probably half full. Very nice staff and reasonable price I thought. With GS discount it was about 40 a day for full hookups.
Not very far from anything to do, see, shop, eat.
We will go back.

Thanks for the testimonial on Oak Plantation Biff. We are planning a trip there in August and I was trying to decide where to stay. It sounds nice.
